MTA S.p.A is looking for a Supply Chain Analyst to join the team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensures efficient, cost-effective, and compliant cross-border movement of materials and goods by managing supplier inbound flows, customer outbound flows, and all customs operations, with the goal of securing on-time delivery and full compliance with automotive standards.
• Plan, organize, and monitor transport operations for inbound components and outbound finished products.
• Manage daily interactions with transport providers (road, sea, air).
• Ensure on-time pickup and delivery performance according to plant production needs and customer schedules.
• Optimize transport routes, modalities, and loading plans to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
• Monitor freight invoices and validate transport cost accuracy (freight audit).
• Handle transport-related claims (delays, damages, shortages).
• Develop and update transport KPIs (OTD inbound, OTD outbound, transport cost/kg, cost per route, premium freight tracking).
• Ensure full compliance with customs regulations for imports and exports.
• Prepare, validate, and archive all customs documents: invoices, packing lists, HS codes, EUR1, EX1, T1, temporary export, etc.
• Coordinate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and authorities.
• Manage customs clearance processes and track status of customs entries.
• Maintain product classification (HS codes) and ensure proper application of tariffs and trade agreements.
• Ensure compliance with local legislation, free-trade agreements (e.g., EU-Morocco, EU-Turkey), and automotive industry requirements.
• Conduct periodic audits to prevent non-compliance, penalties, or delays.
• Monitor risks and disruptions in the supply chain affecting material availability.
• Manage expedited and emergency shipments, ensuring cost-control and proper justification.
• Coordinate with suppliers, production, and customer service during crises.
• Analyze root causes of premium freight and implement preventive actions.
• Lead negotiations for transport rates, customs brokerage services, and contractual terms.
Requirements:
• Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or International Trade (Bachelor/Master).
• +/- 4 years’ experience in transport or customs, preferably in the automotive industry.
• Strong knowledge of international transport, INCOTERMS, customs regulations, and HS codes.
• Proficiency in SAP (MM/SD), TMS tools, and Excel.
• Fluent in English and French (Italian is a plus).
