MTA is looking for a Safety Technician to join the team.
Responsible for inspecting work environments, identifying and eliminating risks, and promoting actions that ensure employees’ health and safety. Conducts onboarding, awareness, and accident‑prevention training, including Regulatory Standards (NR) training in accordance with the company’s internal policy. Also monitors critical activities such as work at heights, confined spaces, electrical tasks, and hot work, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Manages and distributes PPE and collective protection equipment, performs ergonomic assessments of workstations, and investigates occupational accidents and illnesses. Organizes safety programs and events such as SIPAT, CIPA, and the Fire Brigade, while overseeing emergency equipment and developing evacuation and emergency response plans.
Responsible for conducting risk analyses (APR), preparing risk maps, supporting environmental monitoring, managing safety data sheets (SDS/FISPQ), and assisting in building or facility improvement projects. Ensures compliance with regulatory standards and is authorized to stop any activity that presents imminent risk of death, protecting employees’ physical integrity.
