MTA power distribution box for Renault ZOE

MTA, a leader in electronic andelectromechanical components for the OEM, today announces the partnership withRenault regarding  a power distributionbox for the new Renault ZOE.

Renault ZOE is a compact car, remarkably streamlined,100% electric, with a long battery life (type-approved for 210km; 100km to150km actual range according to the conditions of use) and designed by Renaultto be a totally electric car from the very beginning.
The lithium ion battery, the heart and soul of ZOE, issupported by a traditional lead acid battery that the car uses in the ignitionphase. For this innovative low cost car, Renault via S-Y Systems TechnologiesFrance SAS has decided to use the CBA, one of the most reliable and tested productby MTA for the distribution of energy directly from the lead acid battery andprotection of the starter motor and alternator. This version of the CBAsupplied to Renault for ZOE houses midi and mega fuses and is fitted with abracket to guarantee secure fastening, without the worry of the battery comingloose. It has a built-in terminal for direct connection to the battery and alsocomes with an additional mini fuse holder module. The supply list for ZOE ends withan IP67 relay holder, i.e. protected against dust and immersion in up to 1meter of water.
Theelectromechanical components supplied to ZOE represent just the latest productsamong the several ones developed by MTA for electric vehicles, confirming onceagain the focus on innovation and the increasing presence of the Company onvehicles that represent the state-of-the-art of modern automotive technology.
