Sustainable drive

The
emissions reduction plan for environmental sustainability, approved in 2022,
has been fully implemented, and the goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions
at the Codogno site by 33% has been achieved.
Thanks to
the actions taken, 1,067 tonnes of CO₂ equivalent will be avoided each year and
684 tonnes of oil equivalent saved, thus reducing both environmental impact and
energy consumption.
The project
was implemented, albeit partially, also thanks to the contribution of the Linea
Green Call, which we obtained with the support of Sacee, a company specializing
in energy efficiency consulting and services with which we have collaborated
for many years.
The success
achieved pushes us to strengthen our commitment to sustainable innovations and
environmental improvements, for the benefit of the entire supply chain and a
greener future
Three Key Interventions
In
particular, there are three interventions that deserve to be recounted
individually for their impact and innovation:
1. Ground-mounted
solar field: A project in the use of renewable energy.
2. Heat recovery
compressors: An effective example of energy efficiency.
3. The intervention
on the covering between the plastic molding and metal stamping areas: A
significant structural improvement.
Specific findings
- Reduction
in natural gas consumption by 87%.
- Reduction
in refrigerant gas emissions by 18%.
- 20%
increase in energy self-sufficiency.
- Reduction
in energy drawn from the grid by 34%.
- 7%
reduction in energy consumption.
