Evolved electrical protection
News – June 2026
The
automotive industry has always been focused on finding modularity, flexibility,
and customization in electrical systems. MTA, recognized for its expertise in
designing and manufacturing Power Distribution Units with wired, busbar, or PCB
technologies, as well as a wide range of single and modular fuse holders, today
launched two new products to meet the specific needs of the market: the MidiVal
and MegaVal fuse holders with IP67 protection rating.
The MegaVal
and MidiVal holderbody comes with a silicon gasket, and the top attaches to the
bottom through a clip that ensures a perfect closure. The crimpings are
protected by silicone grommets and the cables are held in the correct position
by special tube retainers. In response to customer requests to be able to join
multiple fuse holders together, or to fix them on the wall, the fuse holders
are equipped with fixing points for the brackets.
The IP67
protection rating ensures that the device is fully protected from dust and can
withstand temporary immersion in water up to one meter deep for 30 minutes.
This is essential in certain applications, such as electric and hybrid vehicles
operating at high voltages and posing greater risks, or more simply in vehicles
operating in harsh environments.
This
development is perfectly in line with the industry's trend towards solutions
that combine adaptability and economic advantage in protecting the electrical
system, while maintaining high quality. Both products are made in our
Indian location.
