Founded in 2009 with the goal of expanding its target
markets and establishing a stronger presence in emerging nations, MTA India is
strategically located in Pune, a key hub for both local and international
original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). Over the past 16 years, the site has
grown in step with the market, necessitating the construction of new production
facilities to meet rising demand from its customers, which include
manufacturers of cars, trucks, earthmoving machinery, and motorcycles.
In fact, India is one of the world’s four major
automotive markets, and is on track to become the third largest by 2030. The
commercial vehicle sector has seen significant growth in recent years, driven
in part by infrastructure development, government regulations, and the
transport of consumer goods. Meanwhile, the agricultural sector accounts for
36% of the market in numerical terms. When it comes to two-wheelers, India is
undeniably one of the top two global players, boasting a vast domestic market and
a sharp increase in exports to Europe and America.
