MTA Morocco

Founded in 2017 within the Atlantic Free Trade Zone in Kenitra, MTA Morocco benefits from the fiscal advantages of the area, ensuring competitiveness and added value for its customers. Its strategic location—chosen by numerous European car makers and Tier 1 suppliers already present in the country for the production of vehicles destined for the EMEA market—makes the site a pivotal hub in the Group’s international footprint.

In line with the architectural identity shared across all MTA locations, the Kenitra facility—spanning 23,000 m²—is surrounded by a large, lush garden, an uncommon feature in the local industrial landscape and all the more remarkable in a region with demanding climatic conditions. This distinctive element, maintained with great care, gives the site a unique added value and contributes to a harmonious and welcoming working environment, perfectly aligned with the Group’s values.

The industrial structure currently employs 270 people and includes 30 assembly lines and an injection molding department with 21 presses. The MTA Morocco laboratory is equipped to perform all electrical, mechanical and environmental tests internally on the control units assembled on site and supplied directly to customers. The installed equipment is of a higher class than that found at the Headquarters, designed to handle ECUs that are increasingly larger, more powerful and heavier, requiring more numerous and stringent test cycles in line with today’s elevated reliability standards.

Naturally, the site also includes a Research & Development department, which—just like in Rolo, Italy—is dedicated to the development of electronic projects, both hardware and software, supported by a team of specialized engineers.
