MTA Mexico

Founded in 2015, MTA Mexico is located within the Parque Tecnológico Innovación in Querétaro, in the heart of the Bajío region—one of the most dynamic and strategic areas for the country’s automotive industry.

Its central position within Mexico’s main automotive cluster enables the site to efficiently serve the most important OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers operating in Mexico and North America.

The facility is dedicated to the assembly of low and high voltage electrical units and to the production of various components for the automotive sector. MTA Mexico is also the Group’s first site outside Italy to begin manufacturing on-board chargers. In Querétaro, the production of the BHP19 has been successfully launched, a state of the art on board charger featuring advanced power conversion technology that enhances power density and specific power, and offers bidirectional charging capability, a key element for new electric mobility scenarios.

In the area of product development, the site works in close synergy with the R&D Americas organization based in Brazil, which coordinates design activities for the LATAM and NAFTA regions. This structure includes specialized roles and provides the Mexican site with comprehensive technical support, from process industrialization to prototyping.

This strong technical and production positioning enables MTA Mexico to ensure faster lead times and optimized logistics for all customers across the Americas, consolidating its role as a strategic hub for power electronics and electrical components supplied to major North American manufacturers.
