Founded in 2009 to strengthen the Group’s presence in emerging markets, MTA India is in Pune, one of the country’s most strategic industrial areas due to the concentration of both local and international automotive manufacturers.

Over the years, the site has grown in parallel with the evolution of the entire Indian market—one of the most dynamic globally across the automotive, commercial vehicle, agricultural machinery, construction equipment and two wheeler segments—becoming one of the region’s key production hubs.

The site covers approximately 10,000 m², comprising production areas, warehouse space, offices and technical facilities. The recent expansion has been a fundamental step in meeting growing market demand: the creation of the plastic injection molding department, a key element of the entire production cycle ensuring high precision and consistent quality, together with the strengthening of the laboratory, which now performs major conformity tests internally and significantly reduces time to market, has greatly enhanced production autonomy and the ability to guarantee high quality standards.

Today, MTA India is recognized for the production and supply of low voltage electrical units, particularly for the Heavy-Duty segment, which includes trucks, buses, agricultural and construction vehicles. Thanks to the recent expansion, the company now aims to strengthen its presence in the passenger car and motorcycle markets as well, further enriching its product offering. To this end, MTA plans to expand its portfolio to include medium and high voltage power distribution units and intends to enhance its range of waterproof control units and power electronics, with a special focus on On-Board Chargers (OBCs). Furthermore, following the acquisition of Calearo Antenne, MTA India has started producing antennas for both the domestic and international markets, further strengthening its position as a technological leader.

This prominent market position is the direct result of the site’s ability to provide customers with comprehensive technical support, complete know how and efficient management of the development process—from design to product validation—confirming the increasingly significant role of MTA India within the Group’s global landscape.
