The directive 2000/53/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 18 September 2000 has introduced different national measures to prevent the production of waste deriving from end-of life vehicles and to promote the recycle and reuse of end-of life vehicles and their components with the aim to eliminate dangerous materials.
