Certifications

MTA Headquarters 1996 – 2003 :: From ISO 9001 to ISO 9001/2000

In 1996, MTA Italia achieved ISO 9001 certification, and the following year AVSQ ’94 certification, standard guidelines (corresponding to the French EAQF and German VDA6) which constitute an expansion of ISO 9001 specific for the automotive industry.
In 1998, QS-9000 Certification was achieved. Developed by FORD, CHRYSLER and GM expressly for their own original suppliers, QS-9000 is among the tightest standards to which a company's Quality System can be subjected. It is a guarantee of QUALITY in the parts and management processes, both internally and toward the customer. In 2003, with the achievement of ISO 9001:2000 in its new significantly modified version (Vision 2000), MTA updated its own Quality Management System in accordance with the new Quality approach indicated by the standard, an approach essentially aimed at demonstrating the capacity for organization to satisfy customer demands and effectively implement company processes and for improvement.

MTA Headquarters 2001:: ISO 14001

The new goal of MTA's company management system is shifted from Quality in the strictest sense of the word, tied to the ability to satisfy customer demands, to a wider ranging ambition.
ISO 14001 specifies the requirements for an environmental management system applied to manufacturing activities.

MTA Headquarters 2004 :: ISO/TS 16949:2002

ISO/TS 16949:2002 is a technical specification (TS: Technical Specification) sought by the world’s main car manufacturers (BMW, DaimlerChrysler, Fiat, Ford, GM, PSA Peugeot-Citroen, Renault and Volkswagen) and required to their suppliers. The standard provides for the need to involve the concept of Quality Management in actual production, thereby uniting the common methods and principles in a single standard (issued by ISO) for the implementation of quality in the automotive industry.

MTA Brasil 2006 :: ISO/TS 16949:2002 Corporate

The Brazilian production unit achieved UNI EN ISO 9001:2000 certification in 2006.
At the beginning of this year, the Group's Management Board and Quality System Supervisor held it necessary to extend the ISO/TS certification already achieved by MTA Italy to the production units abroad, applying it in accordance with the Corporate outline. In mid-October, when it had its first verification audit by the certifying body, the Brazilian production unit was found to be immediately ready to begin the ISO/TS certification process.

MTA Brasil 2008 :: ISO 14001

In the beginning of 2007, MTA Brasil faces the road to ISO 14001 certification, defined as a strategic goal and strongly promoted by car makers Ford, Fiat and GM, its customers. It achieves this certification in the beginning of January 2008.

MTA Slovakia 2007 :: ISO/TS 16949:2002 Corporate

In 2006, the Slovakian headquarters begins its course towards quality system certification, which lets it to achieve ISO T/S 16949 homologation in the beginning of 2007.
