Metal blanking department
MTA’s metal blanking department is equipped with 14 presses of varying tonnage (from 25 to 200 tons), of which 13 are high speed BRUDERER. In this department, strips with thicknesses that vary from 0.15 mm to 2.5 mm are cut for the production of ring and power terminals, battery terminals, fuse blades and fusible links. The materials used during the cutting phase are copper, zinc, brass, bronze and copper and stainless steel alloys. Some articles are produced with modular moulds to provide the greatest production flexibility at a high speed. Others, on the other hand, are fitted with special insertion systems for the processing of different terminals assembled together, which are then checked 100% on the line with a visual video camera system. In this department there are 7 visual video camera systems installed for a 100 % check of the most significant dimensions of the blanked items. At the end of processing, all of the moulds are first washed with an automatic cleaning and drying system, then checked by specialized personnel to guarantee maximum efficiency at all times.
