Research and test facilities
Behind each part MTA manufactures, there is significant research: for new materials, for new technological solutions, for new production methods. Research that continues with the extenuating quality tests that each product is subjected to, so that it reaches our customer with the certainty that it will fully satisfy the original specifications and the customers need. Every product is subjected to a "qualification phase" during which a number of tests are performed:
Electrical Tests. (Measurement of the drop in power and insulation resistance; Overload, short circuit and current cycle resistance tests; Dielectric rigidity and insulation resistance tests; Micro-interruption detection)
Mechanical tests. (Tensile, rotational and extraction resistance; Impact resistance; Measurement of insertion, extraction, and mechanical seal force of the mobile and immobile parts; Vibrations and mechanical shock; Pneumatic sealing tests)
Environmental tests. (Salt spray corrosion resistance; Accelerated aging using thermal shock, temperature/humidity cycles, U.V. exposure; Overheating measurement (for powered sample); Ozone resistance; Thermal mapping with infrared thermal camera; Water and dusts resistance)
Tests on materials. (X-ray galvanic coating detection; Plastic material studies using differential scanning calorimeter and analysis of the ashes; Melt Flow Index: measurement of the fluidity of the plastic materials; Chemical compatibility with automotive fluids)
Simulation. (Thermal electric simulation of parts crossed by currents using finite element modeling software; Mechanical simulation using finite element calculation software; PROTEL SE ICAP 4 ANSYS MECHANICAL ANSYS EMAG PRO/Engineer 3D/MATCHCAD LABVIEW
